Registering for a new-build rental in Rotterdam
The correct registration route depends on the landlord and development. Creating an account, applying for a particular home and receiving an allocation are separate steps.

Woonnet or a project account
Woonnet Rijnmond is an important route for social new-build rentals. Stadshart Hoogvliet will be advertised there; applications were not open on 26 September 2026. StartR may require registration with the local landlord alongside Woonnet. Other developments use their own rental accounts. Always follow the route specified in the official advertisement.
Prepare your application securely
Check income, household size, any priority criteria and the application deadline for each property. Gather only the requested documents and submit them through the landlord’s verified portal. Do not share income records in public messages. Keep your confirmation and check that the application is complete. Registration does not guarantee selection, allocation or a handover date.
Check before deciding
- Identify the registration actually required.
- Record deadlines and missing documents.
- Keep confirmation that your application arrived.
